On Tuesday, April 21 at 8:00 p.m., the El Corte Inglés library in Vigo will host the presentation of BIBLIOTECA 75 YEARS, a collection that launches Editorial Galaxia with the start of its 75th anniversary, with the intention of recovering the transformative spirit that has characterized it since its foundation in 1950.

The collection includes ten titles of poetry, fiction, essays and popular literature. The first book in this collection is As Poets of the Salnés Collection, where a work by MARIA DO CARMEN KRUKENBERG is collected, to which a tribute will be paid in this same act on the centenary of its birth regarding this publication. The poets of the Salnés collection highlight and recover the voices of many poets of the first decade of the decade of the 20th century.

Dolores Vilavedra and Patricia Arias Chachero, directors of this collection, and Xosé Manuel Soutullo, director of Editorial Galaxia, will participate in this event.

With this collection, Galaxia recovers the innovative spirit that the publisher demonstrated in its publications since 1950, bringing to readers of the 21st century some works that represented a renewal of the Galician cultural world and, by extension, of its society.

A review of this historical catalog aims to be a rediscovery of the transformative spirit that has driven the publishing house since its foundation. Poetry and narrative, yes, but also, in uncertain times of censorship, essays on music, art, philosophy, guides, manuals, archives of popular culture, cultural magazines, such as Grail, or economics. There was no knowledge of what was happening alongside the publications of Galaxia, which was rebuilding the values ​​of our country in all areas with the firmness of passion, enthusiasm and cultural militancy.
