The Spanish Association Against Cancer in Vigo is organising, on Sunday 18 October 2026, the first edition of the “Vigo en marcha contra o cancro” walk/sporting event, in support of the organisation and with the aim of promoting cancer research.

The route will include three modalities:

• - Andaina: 5 km. Start at 11:15.
• - 5K Run: non‑competitive. Start at 11:15.
• - 10K Run: competitive. Start at 10:00.

The Spanish Association Against Cancer in Vigo organises this event to allocate all funds raised to the financing of free programmes in Prevention, Psychological and Social Support, Speech Therapy, Physiotherapy and Oncological Physical Exercise, as well as patient and family support, and to foster and promote cancer RESEARCH projects.

Andaina and 5K Run

This is a recreational, non‑competitive event open to anyone wishing to collaborate with the Spanish Association Against Cancer. Start at 11:15.

10K Run

This is a competitive race open to participants aged 16 and over. Start at 10:00.

Bib and T‑shirt Collection

Collection will take place on 16 and 17 October on the 4th floor of El Corte Inglés Vigo at the following times:

• - Friday 16 October: from 17:00 to 21:00.
• - Saturday 17 October: from 10:00 to 21:00.

Collection will also be available on the day of the race (Sunday 18 October) exclusively for participants coming from outside Vigo. It will take place from 8:30 to 10:30 at the portico of the main entrance of El Corte Inglés Vigo.

Route

Rúa Venezuela (height of nº 34) – Pizarro – Travesía de Vigo – Vía Norte – Urzaiz – Príncipe – Porta do Sol – Elduayen – Paseo de Alfonso XII – Falperra – Cachamuíña – Ronda Don Bosco – Enrique Blein Budiño – Venezuela, returning to the starting point.

Registrations

All funds raised will be allocated to the financing of oncological research projects and free services for cancer patients and their families.

Adults:

• - Andaina (17+): €10 with sublimated T‑shirt.
• - 5K Run: €10 with sublimated T‑shirt.
• - 10K Run (16+): €13 with sublimated T‑shirt.

Children:

• - Andaina (ages 4–16): €8 with sublimated T‑shirt.
• - 5K Run (ages 4–16): €8 with sublimated T‑shirt.
• - Ages 0–3: free (T‑shirt not included).
