About “El aleteo de la polilla”
Everyone believed they knew the truth about the murder that shook the school. The image of a silenced victim, even after death, remained forever etched in the memory of those who lived through that horror.
For Minerva, that crime marked the point of no return. After an adolescence shaped by fear, bullying and a mother who turned control into a form of destruction, she thought she had left the past behind.
But years later, a new chain of deaths rattles the city, and buried secrets begin to surface. What Minerva tried to forget returns with devastating force.
She soon discovers that those who destroyed her life never disappeared; they simply learned to hide behind respectable lives and lies carefully woven over the years. Because the truth always finds a way to return and, when it finally emerges, the question is no longer who the monster is… but who helped create it.
About Teresa Chamorro
She was born in Panxón (Nigrán), where the sea and local legends are part of everyday life. A nurse by profession and a passionate reader, she began writing during the 2020 lockdown, finding in literature a way to explore human complexity.
Her narrative blends suspense, mystery and a critical look at society, with Galicia as a recurring setting of memory, conflict and truth. She is the author of El día que fui juzgada and El nudo de Tuim, novels in which crime intertwines with contemporary social realities.
