The next session of El Яeverso de la Historia, with Miguel Zorita, invites us to explore a territory as comic as it is revealing: the bufones. These characters, behind the mask of humor, held privileged roles in royal courts and public life, able to challenge power without losing their heads… almost always.

Few historical figures hold as many secrets as court jesters. They were seemingly the “laughingstock” of the powerful, but also their most trusted men and women. What do we really know about them? What conspiracies were they part of? And how did these great forgotten figures of history end up? These are some of the questions we’ll explore in this session.

About Miguel Zorita

Miguel Zorita Bayón (1985), born in Madrid. He holds a degree in Fine Arts and works as a painter, illustrator, writer, and contributor to various media outlets. He writes a weekly column for ElPlural.com titled Regreso al Futuro, dedicated to historical anecdotes. He has published several books, including “Curiosa Filosofía”.

As a content creator: in addition to his blog, lectures, and appearances on TV and documentaries, he runs his own YouTube channel, Zorituras, where he shares content on historical painting techniques and routes through Madrid, such as the documentary series Conocer Madrid.

As a visual artist: he works continuously in painting, sculpture, and illustration. He has exhibited his work nationally and internationally. He also serves as an archaeological illustrator at the Caraca site (Driebes, Guadalajara).
