Ámbito Cultural of El Corte Inglés Santiago hosts, from 2 July to 1 August, the exhibition ORDUME: Latexos de area, sangue e xogo (Warp and Weft: Heartbeats of Sand, Blood and Play), a proposal by the collective Caras Amigas that brings together three artistic perspectives around a shared, resilient and deeply human narrative.

ORDUME —the thread that holds the fabric together— becomes here a metaphor for the meeting point between memory, identity and hope. Through a sensory journey, the exhibition invites visitors to explore three complementary dimensions that connect with the collective and the emotional.

The exhibition begins in the sand, where the Sahara emerges as a living memory through works that evoke stories and faces demanding to be remembered. It continues into blood, symbolised by the intensity of red, with a series shaped by emotional transformation and the experience of pain as a process of change. Finally, the journey reaches play and line, a space where drawing is liberated and opens up to geometry, experimentation and shared creation.

The exhibition features artists Isabel Méndez (IsMeNa), Maribel Castiñeira (XMÑ) and Isabel Soutullo, who form Caras Amigas. Three artistic paths that converge in a shared, committed proposal, deeply connected to the social and emotional reality that gives meaning to ORDUME.
