On Thursday, June 25th, at 8:00 p.m., the bookstore at El Corte Inglés Vigo will host the presentation of the book "1898 – El padre ausente" by Alfonso De Sas.

A story of absent fathers and mothers who fill that absence as they discover themselves as women, and of the intangible threads that connect all their destinies.

"1898 – El padre ausente" concludes the trilogy that began with "El cementerio de los ingleses" and continued with "Tres imperios", a saga of profound humanity about absence, memory, and the freedom to choose who we want to be in a world that is changing forever.

Alfonso De Sas

Alfonso de Sas Prada, born in Ourense and a lifelong writer, published his first novel in 2022, inspired by a historical event and based on a film script he himself wrote at the beginning of this century.
