Book Club with Nativel Preciado and her book 'El pan de mis hijos' at El Corte Inglés Preciados-Callao

Journalist and writer Nativel Preciado, winner of the Fernando Lara Prize, the Primavera Prize, and the Azorín Prize, among other accolades, will be joining us for the next Book Club meeting to discuss her latest book: El pan de mis hijos (Planeta, 2025).
A veteran journalist and writer, acclaimed by critics and the recipient of numerous awards, she continues to work tirelessly on television talk shows, in newspapers, and at book clubs. Her children fear for her health and ask her to retire, but she refuses due to financial reasons. Suddenly, she receives an inheritance with a curious condition.
Rafael Caunedo, writer and coordinator of our Book Club, will discuss this humorous plot with the author and then open the floor for your comments on the book.

About Nativel Preciado
Nativel Preciado is from Madrid and studied Journalism and Political Science. In 1967, she began her career as a journalist at the newspaper Madrid. She has worked for numerous print, radio, and television outlets. She was a parliamentary correspondent from 1977 to 1984. Her journalistic work has received numerous awards, including the Francisco Cerecedo Prize (1986), the Víctor de la Serna Prize (1988), the APM Lifetime Achievement Award (2017), and the Manuel Alcántara International Journalism Prize (2019). She participates in conferences and seminars, gives lectures, and contributes to InfoLibre, TVE, and Atresmedia.
She is the author of several essays, including El sentir de las mujeres, Amigos íntimos, Hablemos de la vida (with José Antonio Marina), Nadie pudo con ellos, and Hagamos memoria. She has also written novels such as El egoísta, Bodas de plata, Camino de hierro, Llegó el tiempo de las cerezas, Canta solo para mí, El Nobel y la corista, El santuario de los elefantes, and Palabras para Olivia.
She has received major literary awards: finalist for the 1999 Planeta Prize, winner of the 2007 Primavera Novel Prize, winner of the 2014 Fernando Lara Prize, and winner of the 2021 Azorín Prize.
