Mara Torres has written a book full of affection and tenderness. A grand tribute to her sister Alicia, she tries to understand the reasons that led her to suicide, and also a way to continue showing her love, beyond time and existence. This first-person account intersects with a text by her sister that was found among her belongings.

About the author

MARA TORRES (Madrid, 1974) is a journalist and writer. She developed her professional career at Cadena SER, where she directed the program Hablar por Hablar (Talking for the Sake of Talking) (2001 and 2006).

From there, she moved to TVE. Among other awards, Mara Torres has received the Antena de Oro and the Micrófono de Plata. Her first novel, The Imaginary Life, was a finalist for the 2012 Planeta Prize. In 2017, she published Happy Days. She now hosts and directs El Faro on SER, a landmark program for which she has won the Ondas Prize, the Antena de Oro Prize, and the Miguel Delibes Journalism Award.
