On Wednesday, November 5th, at 7:00 p.m., in the Ámbito Cultural de Colón hall on the 6th floor, the book presentation will take place: 'Soledad sin solitud, Por qué tantos están hoy tan solos,' written by analyst and journalist Andrés Ortega Klein, grandson of the philosopher Ortega y Gasset.

The book, winner of the 31st Jovellanos International Essay Prize, addresses one of the great themes of our time. From an original perspective, the author establishes a perfect distinction between unwanted and desired solitude, and also appeals to emotional relationships "as a true way of overcoming" social isolation.
 

Andrés Ortega is a writer, analyst, and journalist. He has twice served as director of the Department of Analysis and Studies of the Office of the President of the Government. He has had a long career in journalism as a correspondent in London and Brussels, and as a columnist and editorialist for El País. He has published several books, including, La razón de Europa (The Reason for Europe) (2004), La fuerza de los pocos (The Strength of the Few) (2007), El fallo de un país (The Failure of a Country) (2012), Recomponer la Democracia, (Recomposing Democracy) y La imparable marcha de los robots ( The Unstoppable March of the Robots) (2016). También de las novelas, SIn alma (Without a Soul) (2012) y Sé Agua (Be Water) (2025). 

The presentation will be led by journalist Pau Pérez Rico, and the debate will be moderated by science and technology journalist Adolfo Plasencia.
