This year's town crier is a journalist for La Opinión de Málaga, former head of the Brotherhood of El Cautivo, co-founder of Mediadora, and a member of the Brotherhoods of the Sagrada Cena, Dolores de San Juan and la Divina Pastora. He has a deep devotion to María Auxiliadora and the Virgen del Carmen Coronada. He has also worn the robe of Virgen de la Concepción and participated in the penitential processions with Mediadora and Dolores de San Juan.

He played a prominent role in 2000, under the leadership of José Luis Palomo, in the coronation of the Virgen de la Trinidad, the 25th anniversary of which is being celebrated this year. He co-authored the report submitted to the Bishopric of Málaga requesting this recognition on the occasion of this momentous Marian event, in October 2000, a Jubilee Holy Year.

He was also part of the team of authors of the monograph “Cautivo-Trinidad,” on the History and Artistic and Monumental Heritage of the brotherhood, edited by Dr. José Jiménez Guerrero.

As the head of the Cautivo brotherhood, he served on the governing board of the Association of Brotherhoods, in addition to being a member, and was appointed by the president, Pablo Atencia, to chair the organization's Culture Committee from 2016 to 2018, and later the Promotion and Dissemination Committee until 2021. This also gave him responsibility for the communication efforts of the institution's centenary celebrations.

    Finally, it should be noted that he has been a town crier for many brotherhoods, presenter of various posters, speaker and lecturer in various activities and author of opinion and research articles for brotherhood magazines and bulletins, not forgetting his participation in the Commemorative Book of the Centenary of the Association of Brotherhoods.
