El Corte Inglés Málaga hosts the presentation of Violetas cortadas, the new novel by Antonio Navarro Barriga. The event will take place on Friday, 12 June at 7:30 p.m.

The story begins with a devastating revelation: discovering that the person you care about most is suffering from an irreversible illness. From that moment on, the protagonist, Zenobia, is drawn into a path marked by pain, guilt and the search for meaning. Through her journey, the novel reflects on love, motherhood —or the many forms of motherhood— as well as on emotions as diverse as friendship, hatred and greed, both in times of peace and in times of war.

Without intending to, Zenobia helps us understand human complexity a little better. When she realises she is not alone, and that among those around her there are extraordinary people who have fought tirelessly to remain true to who they want to be, she begins to recover hope. But a series of mysterious deaths threatens to destroy everything.

The event will be presented by Eduardo Nieto, journalist, and Rosa Barriga Arauste, actress.
