El Corte Inglés Málaga hosts on Tuesday, 4 August at 18:30 hours a new session of the “Hablando de Ópera” cycle, featuring the presentation and screening of Rigoletto (1851) by Giuseppe Verdi, one of the most renowned titles in Italian opera and essential for understanding Verdi’s dramaturgy and the first work of his romantic trilogy.
The selected version is a historic recording made in Tokyo in October 1961, with the great Italian baritone Aldo Protti as the hunchbacked jester of the Duke of Mantua’s court, alongside Gabriella Tucci, Gianni Poggi, Paolo Washington and Anna Di Stasio, with The NHK Symphony Orchestra conducted by Arturo Basile.
