This book is written by fifteen women. Fifteen stories of courage, perseverance, transformation, and wings forged from the shards of glass they shattered. This is not just any book of stories: it is a manifesto of resilience, dreams, effort, life purpose, and the desire for freedom to choose to write their own stories. And they certainly succeeded!

Each author shares her personal journey of overcoming adversity, a journey that involved breaking down numerous external and internal barriers: from a lack of support from some parents, criticism, limiting beliefs, and paralyzing fears, to bearing the invisible weight of imposter syndrome, the guilt imposed for not dedicating all their time to motherhood or for choosing not to have children, and facing situations of abuse…

With all of this on their shoulders, they learned to defy expectations and decided to become the protagonists of their own stories, writing them in their own words, with authenticity and without asking permission, sometimes with fear, but they succeeded. Their stories aim to inspire other women to become the writers of their own lives and to remind them that they are not alone and that there are already paths open for them to follow. May the knowledge that other women have learned to shatter their glass ceilings, and that they use them to build their wings, be a source of inspiration for others to do the same.

This book is meant to be your catalyst. May you discover with each page that you, too, can decide what, how, when, where, and with whom to be and be. May no one clip your wings. May you be the one to choose your flight and help others to do the same.
